Risk disclaimer
Wicks is practice software, not a trading account. Nothing in it is advice, nothing in it is a prediction, and how you do in here tells you very little about how you would do with your own money at stake.
We are not advisers
We are not a broker, an exchange, an investment adviser or a financial institution, and we are not regulated as any of those. Nothing on this site, in the software, or produced by the AI coaching feature is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, a recommendation to buy or sell anything, or a solicitation to trade.
If you need advice about your own situation, get it from someone qualified to give it.
Simulated results are not real results
Every trade in Wicks is simulated against historical data. Simulation has limits that no software removes:
- No real liquidity. Your order never competes for a fill. In a live market your size, the queue and the state of the book all matter.
- Modelled costs, not actual ones. We charge a fixed spread and commission. Real spreads widen, and slippage on a fast move can be far worse than anything modelled here.
- No outages or requotes. Platforms go down, orders get rejected, and connections drop at the worst moment. None of that happens here.
- Bar data, not every tick. Within a bar we approximate. What actually happened between the open and the close was more complicated.
- No money at stake. This is the big one. Knowing a loss is not real changes how people behave, and it is the hardest difference to correct for.
Because of this, results produced in the software do not indicate what would have happened in a live market, and past market behaviour does not indicate future behaviour.
Trading involves risk
Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange and cryptocurrency, carries a high level of risk. You can lose more than you deposit with some products. Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains. Cryptocurrency markets in particular are volatile, trade around the clock, and may be unregulated where you live.
A large proportion of retail traders lose money. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose, and do not treat practice results as evidence that you will not.
Prop-firm challenges
The rule presets in Wicks approximate the limits used by some proprietary trading firms. They are our approximation, not the rules of any particular firm, and we are not affiliated with any of them. Read the actual rules of any programme before paying for it.
The AI coaching feature
AI coaching produces generated text about your own recorded practice. It can be wrong, it can miss things, and it can state something confidently that is not so. It is there to point at your process. It is not advice, not an assessment of your ability, and not a prediction.
Market data
Historical data comes from public third-party sources and is provided as-is. It may contain gaps, errors or later revisions. We do not warrant that it is accurate or complete, and it should not be relied on for any purpose other than practice.
Your decisions are yours
You are solely responsible for any trading decision you make and for any loss that follows. Nothing here creates any duty on us in relation to your trading.
